The
Waterloo Foundation (TWF) is an independent grant-making Foundation created in 2007. We run four discrete funding programmes, one of which focuses solely on research within the field of child development. Within this programme, we fund innovative research which is aligned with our interests in the psychological and behavioural development of our children, and particularly in certain neuro developmental conditions and the factors that influence them. To this end, we run dedicated calls for applications relating to: Rolandic and other idiopathic focal epilepsies; Dyslexia; sleep, diet and other factors under parents’ influence; ADHD; DCD; and developmental trauma. As a Foundation, we are happy to consider applications from early career researchers and for small-scale pilot studies, as a means of supporting that crucial ‘first step’ within the research process.
